My commitment to serving our community and trying my best to make direct change for the better for our neighbors is what drew me into government service in the first place, when I joined the Traffic Safety and Parking Committee in 2007. I volunteer regularly at various events, including:
- The monthly Second Harvest food distribution at Belle Air Elementary, which provides healthy food to over 350 families in our community.
- Our monthly community pancake breakfast in support of San Bruno’s American Legion Post 409, raising funds for programs to benefit our veterans.
- Working with the San Bruno Lions to pitch in at many of their community events.
- Participating alongside my neighbors and my own family at many community cleanups to beautify our neighborhoods
- Pitching in at school barbecues and other fundraisers at John Muir Elementary, Allen Elementary, the former Portola Elementary and Belle Air Elementary
- My wife Karen and I are also proud Champion-level supporters of the San Bruno Education Foundation
