As a member of the Board of Directors of the Bay Area Water Supply and Conservation Agency (BAWSCA) since 2021, I’ve advocated for San Bruno’s interests in negotiating our water supply agreements from the Hetch Hetchy system, partnering with other member agencies to ensure we are not overshadowed by the San Francisco PUC in obtaining our supply of high-quality water at a fair price.
As San Bruno’s representative on the SFO Airport Community Roundtable from 2021 to 2023, I worked with colleagues to successfully lobby SFO to implement new restrictions on engine run-ups for maintenance purposes and new over-water flightpaths for departures between 1am and 5am to reduce airport noise in our neighborhoods, representing the first significant airport noise restriction implemented in many years.
As our representative on the SFO Airport Land Use Committee since 2021 I’ve advocated for San Bruno’s interest in ensuring development projects are swiftly approved and most importantly ensuring an override of SFO’s objection to the pending development at Tanforan, allowing this important project to proceed.
